UHMW is very popular in the industry as a side liner and wear guard around bends in the filling and packaging lines. Since Crown's UHMW can be adhered directly to the stainless substrate, no mechanical fastening is required leading to reduced installation cost, reduced downtime and less waste.

Crown Plastics UHMW is also an excellent material to use on the diverters which separate the cans into lanes as they enter the cartons. The UHMW provides a good slick, low coefficient of friction material which allows the cans to move easily through the lanes and protects the product from scratches and dents which could result from metal to metal contact.
