Eliminating Wear on Chains and Chain Guides
The Problem
UHMW is frequently used as a bearing surface underneath drive chains on conveyor systems.
The material is typically mechanically fastened in place by countersunk fasteners using 1/4″ thick material as a minimum thickness. Leaving at a minimum a 1/16″ working thickness.
The Solution
By using an adhesive backed product, the material thickness can be .062″ and easily installed in a matter of minutes and at a considerable cost savings as compared to 1/4″ thick material. If the chain guide is over 10 feet long, our continuous length rolls can eliminate potential “-catch” points or seams to provide a much smoother operation of the system.
